One of the real delights of living here is the proximity of Tentsmuir Forest and Kinshaldy Beach. The forest extends to about 50 square miles and is full of fascinating walks, bridle paths and bicycle routes. The forest is entered from the neighbouring village of Tayport, 2 miles from here and the forest goes right down to a fantastic sandy beach five miles long. This is a "must" if you stay with us.
If you fancy cycling there then we can supply bicycles. There is a designated cycle route from Newport along the coast and through the forest. If you wish to drive there you will find plenty car parking, a picnic area and toilets. Ask us for a map and directions.
